More about your role
Currently we are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support the Transformantion team with a huge programme of change. We are a large Group, and many of our businesses have ambitious plans for growth often driven using technology. As Business Analyst you will act as an intermediary between IT project teams and our Group businesses to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual designs, ensuring that applications and solutions are developed to meet evolving business requirements and drive better value from IT systems.
You will take a lead role in understanding business requirements and translating these into effective technical solutions and system developments liaising with colleagues to help deliver these.
What is unique about working for IT at Places for People is that we work closely with our partners at Microsoft, Google, and Amazon to provide all our team including FTCs access to lots of training and resources so that you can gain skills and knowledge on cutting edge cloud technologies to help support you in driving our move to cloud but also to further your own learning and development.

More about you
You will possess considerable experience working as a Business Analyst, with good knowledge of project management and process design software such as Visio and MS Project. Over the coming year the Group businesses you will support will be undergoing considerable business change, reorganisation and harmonisation of processes and software, therefore it would be advantageous if you had experience of software procurement and process mapping/ solution design methodologies.
Finally, and possibly most importantly is your ability to build relationships with colleagues at all levels of the business quickly, to be able to ask the right questions to understand their needs and be able to translate these into business requirements that deliver strategic objectives. You will need the ability to be a “critical friend” in order to question assumptions and help teams to think “outside the box” to achieve their optimal business processes. You will need superb communication and presentation skills.
