Position Overview:
The IT Business Analyst will collaborate with Business and Information Technology stakeholders to gain a better understanding of the structure, policies, and operations across the organization to ensure delivery of high-performing customer-facing technology solutions.
Here's What You'll Get to Do:
- To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Manage project requirements from initiation through completion, including managing scope, resolving roadblocks, eliciting, and delivering requirements, communication, testing, and training while promoting best practices and standards.
- Engage with all project stakeholders both internally and externally including Executive and IT Management, Project Sponsor, Product Owner, Subject Matter Experts, and additional required resources to continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen customer relationships.
- Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.
- Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, build vs buy analysis, task and workflow analysis for critical evaluation of information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
- Create and deliver artifacts derived from functional requirements utilizing: Business Requirement Documents, Diagrams, User Stories, and Mockups for development and subject matter acceptance to establish the technical vision and balance usability and performance needs.
- Clearly communicate to and share accountability for project results, progress, risks, expectations, timelines, milestones, and other key project metrics with all project stakeholders.
- Coordinate, Lead, and Participate in the testing process, including creating and executing test scripts and facilitating User Acceptance Testing.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues reported by PrefWeb users. Utilize in-depth understanding of PrefWeb features, functionalities, and common problems to identify root causes and deliver effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive PrefWeb documentation to help users find solutions and reduce the need for support intervention. Maintain and improve the documentation based on user feedback and emerging issues.
- Conduct training sessions and create educational materials to assist PrefWeb users to effectively utilize the platform. Provide guidance on best practices and usage techniques.
Here's What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Management Information Systems and/or 5+ years of related work experience
- 5+ years of experience eliciting and documenting requirements, including business requirements, functional requirements & technical requirements.
Preferred but not Required:
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)Project Management Professional (PMP)Six Sigma Green/Black Certification
- ITIL Foundations Certification
Work Requirements:
- Ability to travel required based on business needs up to 25%
- Demonstrated ability in the use of enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies.
- Understanding of Agile Software Development Methodology
- Knowledge of Project Management methodologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project and Visio.
- Experienced in on-demand collaboration utilizing online meeting and web conferencing applications.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, manage simultaneous projects and shift priorities based on business needs.
- Work independently with users to define concepts and under the direction of project managers.
- Strong analytical and product management skills are required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Demonstrate a hands-on, collaborative approach that works well in a team.
- Strong knowledge and experience in supporting PrefWeb, including a deep understanding of its features, functionalities, and technical aspects. Familiarity with common issues, error messages, and troubleshooting.
- Strong Knowledge of Architectural Glazing Systems: Extensive experience and expertise in architectural glazing systems, including a deep understanding of different product types, such as curtain walls, windows, glass facades, and skylights preferred. Familiarity with related materials, such as glass, aluminum, steel, and sealants also preferred.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to architectural glazing systems preferred.
