The below is an outline of the broad tasks, responsibilities and outcomes required of the role. The job holder will carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required by their line manager. The job holder will be responsible across the Data Management Department footprint for: Leading the development of DMAs business analysis practice including capacity, capability and ways of working: Aligning project and programme digital solution options with customer strategic and architecture direction and communicating them effectively with external and internal stakeholders. Preparing accurate and detailed requirement specifications documents, user interface guides, and functional specification documents as well as developing and maintaining standards, policies, and guidelines.
Analysing and formalising the business requirements in sufficient detail including generating technical specifications so that the team have a full understanding of the scope of the project, enabling system design to be undertaken. Ensuring that the business need is precisely defined. Providing governance to solutions development both internal and external through lifecycle of projects to ensure the business needs are met. Coordinating cross functional groups to, validate, evaluate new business processes and functions, and determine issues in services and software.
