Business Analyst
We have an excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst within our Business Support Squad team based in the Isle of Man office. Using Agile methodology the job holder will gather, analyse, document, and validate the needs of the business stakeholders managing system requirements between the business and the software developers.

Role Specific Details
- Elicit, analyse, and validate business requirements from a range of business users and subject matter experts and help design innovative solutions to business problems.
- Integrate the needs of a number of stakeholders across the business to produce an overall solution.
- Evaluate and optimise business and system processes internally and with external vendors to identify and define opportunities for improvement.
- Identify and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Support internal and external delivery teams in the production of functional solution specifications, development, testing, UAT and implementation to ensure benefits are delivered.
- Document requirements, functions and processes as meets the need of the project, and present back to stakeholders.
- Map ‘As Is and To Be’ procedures and perform gap analysis and lean analysis.
- Using Agile methodology, write user stories that are clear, concise, and easy to understand and implement by the development team. Attend and contribute to Squad daily stand ups and attend business analysis Guild meetings.
- Work closely with your team to agree current priorities, resource allocation, and deliver solutions satisfying overall business goals.
Professional Qualifications
- Suitable qualification such as Agile, BCS, Prince 2, Lean Six Sigma desirable
Technical Skills and Experience
- Experience in various delivery methodologies, principally Waterfall, Agile and Incremental
- Familiarity with all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle
- In-depth knowledge and experience of working in both banking and investment environments.
- Knowledge and experience of analytical tools (e.g., Jira)
- Experience in using a wide range of analysis techniques including workshop facilitation, requirements elicitation and process mapping.
- Systems and Business Analysis experience
- Proven track record of helping deliver successful software, IT and business projects/solutions.
- Knowledge and understanding of systems testing and UAT (regression testing, smoke testing, automated test tools)
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- In-depth understanding of business needs with the ability to establish / maintain high levels of customer trust and confidence.
- Ability to integrate well into a team and build effective relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and business users.
- Creative and innovative to maximise the value of the solution.
- Ability to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance.
- Ability to take strategic direction from senior executives.
- Understand Agile methodology and the concept of sprints and sprint planning.
- Understands how an overall project development process works and how the role fits into the process.
