About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity within our growing IT department for a Business Analyst. Working as a member of an Agile Scrum Team, and often alongside Project Managers (PMs), our Business Analysts are responsible for bridging the gap between business and technology.
The BA will report into the Lead BA as part of the Project Management Office (PMO). The highly talented PMO are the gatekeepers of the company roadmap, working to support the execution of a variety of projects and programmes of work.

Principle Accountabilities
- Working with the Head of Change and Sponsor to prepare and scribe initiative request documentation that helps inform the board of possible roadmap programmes and projects
- Creating as-is and to-be processes for various areas of the business
- Creating any necessary artefacts required as part of a project including, but not limited to, test case scenarios, training documentation, SOPs, etc.
- Facilitating the discussion of business problems and opportunities amongst stakeholders
- Providing those business requirements to the Head of Development and/or the Design Authority (DA) in order to collaboratively create Features and Feature level estimates
- Working with the DA and/or Scrum Team to break Features into Epics and User Stories
- Leading the Scrum Team refinement of Epics and User Stories
- Ensuring all User Stories enable delivery of a quality business product
- Promoting MVP principles at all times to ensure requirements deliver what the business needs and to eliminate scope creep
- Developing highly effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels in the organisation, as appropriate, and be the conduit between stakeholders, the PM, and the Scrum Teams
- Keeping the PMO and PMs updated with progress, challenges and blockers; escalating to the appropriate colleague as and when required
- Contributing to the definition and continuous improvement of business analysis best practice, including self-development, to maximise effectiveness and productivity
- Acting as an advocate of the implementation, governance and continuous improvement of the MandM business roadmap, project framework, and Agile delivery processes.

Hours of Work:
General office hours, Monday – Friday. Flexi-time and hybrid working options are available, however business needs take priority. Working 2-3 days per week at head office in Leominster, Herefordshire.
About You
Experience Required:
Essential
- Have previous success as a business analyst
- Can demonstrate that you are a critical thinker and problem solver
- Have great business acumen, situational awareness, and strong emotional intelligence
- Are driven and have tenacity to get to the root of problems, to get things done and deliver business value
- Can demonstrate that you’re an excellent communicator and able to comprehend and translate technical or complex issues clearly to meet the competency level of the audience
- Have exceptional attention to detail
- Can demonstrate you have excellent analytical skills using an informed, evidence-based approach
- Are able to extract business impact from stakeholders that report production faults or change requests
- Have a solid understanding of the entire Software Development Lifecycle
- Are assertive and confident with a natural ability to facilitate conflict resolution
- Have the ability to keep stakeholders on side even if some of their business needs can’t be met
- Are proactive and passionate about continuous improvement and self-development
- Consistently demonstrate integrity and high work standards, command respect and is considered credible.
- Worked at a software / technology / ecommerce company and/or worked with an IT Operations and/or IT infrastructure teams
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
- Worked with Google or other cloud technologies
- Have worked as part of a Scrum team or another Agile framework
- Experience of data and/or systems analysis.
