JOB DESCRIPTION
1. POST TITLE: Business Analyst 3 month contract
2. SALARY: In the region of £600 - £650 per week
3. RESPONSIBLE TO: Director of Finance & Corporate Services
4. JOB PURPOSE:
Lochalsh and Skye Housing Association is looking for a Business Analyst to join our team on a short-term contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for mapping and analysing processes with teams, developing reports, and providing insights to help drive business decisions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business processes, be able to analyse data to identify trends and patterns, and apply systems/design thinking to our services.
The Business Analyst should also have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that the right decisions are made and develop in-house capacity to be self-critical and embed continuous improvement in our culture.
5. MAIN DUTIES
5.1 Analyse and document key business processes.
5.2 Gather, analyse, and interpret data from multiple sources.
5.3 Create reports to present findings to stakeholders.
5.4 Identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to address them.
5.5 Provide recommendations for process improvements.
5.6 Work with stakeholders to define requirements for new systems or processes.
6. GENERAL
6.1 To adhere to the Association’s policies and procedures in respect of confidentiality arrangements.
6.2 To ensure that any allocated vehicle is at all times used and maintained in a safe, roadworthy and clean condition and is kept securely when not in use, all in accordance with the Association’s policies and procedures.
6.3 To assist in ensuring that all premises used are used and maintained in a safe and clean condition and meet the requirements of the Association’s
Health and Safety Policy.
6.4 To assist in ensuring that all tools and equipment used are used and maintained in a safe and clean condition, meet the requirements of the
Association’s Health and Safety Policy and are kept securely when not in use.
6.5 To contribute to the general development and wider activities of the
Association as a member of the staff team and to act at all times in the best interests of the Association.
6.6 To undertake any other duties on behalf of the Association as reasonably requested by the Technical Manager or other Line Manager.
7. PERSON SPECIFICATION
The ideal candidate will have a background in project management, process mapping and/or systems re-design. We are looking for someone who can quickly build relationships, has excellent verbal and written communication skills, and can work independently towards a deadline. You must be willing to travel to the Isle of Skye for the initial phase of the contract, working intensively with teams to understand, analyse and map key processes.
