Business Analyst

We are looking for a dedicated and capable Business Analyst to join our Business Analysis and Consultancy team. Ideally you should have 5 – 10 years’ experience in Business Analysis with preferably the majority spent working in IT. You will have had exposure to a number of different business / system areas such as Case management, ERP, Data management and reporting, Customer Relationship Management, Financial systems etc

The role of the Business Analyst is to work closely with clients to investigate business challenges and problems, and then identify and evaluate options for improvements to operations, processes and systems. The Business Analyst should be able to apply a range of techniques where necessary such as;
Requirements facilitation, gathering and management
Scope specification
Process mapping, measuring, modelling and improvement
Functional Specifications
Functional / non-functional analysis and requirements
User Story creation (with appropriate acceptance criteria)
SWOT analysis
To define, manage and support implementation of effective solutions to business challenges.
Your Skills and Experience:
Ability to perform stakeholder analysis, accurately understanding and mapping influence, impact and commitment of each stakeholder
Lead the client engagement for specific areas of work
Take ownership of one or more areas of work including planning, identifying risks and regular reports to the project manager
Experience in defining scope and writing terms of reference.
Ability to plan and facilitate effective workshops
Uses standard approaches on client engagements with assistance / direction, and takes the lead in specific areas
Investigate operational requirements, problems, and opportunities, seeking effective business solutions through improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes
Effectively plan and manage the requirements process from capture through to change control
Assist in the analysis of stakeholder objectives, and the underlying issues arising from investigations into business requirements and problems, identifying options for consideration
Identify potential benefits, and available options for consideration
Favorable If You Have;
Works with clients/users in defining acceptance tests
A knowledge of six sigma or agile would be beneficial.
Additional;
Collaborate with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
Facilitate scoping and business priority-setting for change initiatives of large and medium size and complexity.
Select appropriate techniques for the elicitation of detailed requirements taking into account the nature of the required changes, established practice and the characteristics and culture of those providing the requirements.
Conduct interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.
Discover and analyse requirements for fitness for purpose as well as adherence to business objectives and consistency, challenging positively as appropriate.
Obtain formal agreement by stakeholders and recipients to scope and requirements and establishes a base-line on which delivery of a solution can commence.
Manages requests for and the application of changes to baselined requirements.
Identify the impact on business requirements of interim (e.g. migration) scenarios as well as the required end position.
Drive the requirements elicitation process where necessary, identifying stakeholders and what input is required.
Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.
Translate conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.
Take responsibility for the investigation and application of changes to programme scope.
Analyse and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary adhering to change process.
Participates in the QA of developed solutions to ensure features and functions have been enabled and optimized.
