Pay Range
$86,910 $107,916 Annually for the E01.2
$104,370 $129,588 Annually for the E01.3
Please note the pay range information is a general guideline only. Many factors are taken into consideration when setting starting pay including education, experience, the external labor market, and internal equity.
Job Description
We have an opening for an experienced Business Analyst to support LLNL’s employee portal and internal website platform. This position will analyze, plan, and develop solutions pertaining to internal web initiatives to meet user requirements. In this position, you will cultivate strong partnerships with both the business and mission to influence web direction, implementation timeline, and final requirements. This position is in the Digital Experience and Search group within the Information Technology Solutions division within the Computing Directorate in support of the LivIT program.

This position will be filled at either level based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if hired at the higher level.
You will
Partner with functional experts to understand and analyze new and current business processes, requirements, workflows, and facilitate implementation of technical solutions.
Perform complex analysis to assess and identify opportunities to capture functional processes. Develop and implement strategies for addressing gaps in technological solutions.
Perform initial analysis of requests to change, add or enhance existing processes or system functionality, engaging a variety of functional and IT stakeholders as appropriate. Analyze the impacts of change requests, effort needed to implement, enhancement or project with a recommended priority level.
Lead cross-functional project teams, gather and translate complex user requirements, deliver process streamlining methodologies, make recommendations for new system strategies, and communicate solutions to stakeholders.
Participate in software testing for the Liferay team by contributing to writing test plans and use cases, providing feedback on bugs, enhancements, access issues, and usability.
Contribute to the analysis, implementation, administration, and support of sites using Liferay.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional job responsibilities, at the E01.3 level
Lead the analysis around complex development projects by leveraging tools and processes, both existing and new.
Develop documentation such as requirements, reports, external responses, and action items.
Independently plan, conduct and direct the analysis of current business processes that require an in-depth understanding of the end-to-end process.
Qualifications
Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
Bachelor's degree in relevant functional discipline or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Ability to analyze business processes, requirements and identify, develop, and implement improvements.
Knowledge of and experience developing business process, requirements documentation, and training materials.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills necessary to successfully collaborate in a team environment and interact effectively with multidisciplinary internal and external customers including various levels of leadership.
Ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment given general task definition and manage concurrent tasks with competing priorities, approach difficult problems with enthusiasm and creativity, and the ability to change focus when necessary.
Knowledge of web development principles and best practices.
Experience applying good judgment, discretion, and problem-solving skills to identify solutions and resolve issues.
Effective organizational skills, customer support, task prioritization, attention to detail, accuracy, and independent follow through.
Additional qualifications at the E01.3 level
Advanced knowledge and extensive experience in end-to-end process design and implementation.
Experience writing test plans and conducting test cases for system implementations, upgrades, or enhancements.
Understanding of Agile methodologies for software development and project management.
Significant project management experience preparing project plans including task estimation, dependencies, and deployment schedules including interacting with internal resources to complete required project activities.

Security Clearance
This position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance.
