We have an exciting new opportunity for a business analyst to join us. The role will combine people and communication skills with technical aptitude to optimise systems and accelerate our business growth. As the business analyst, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Working with senior business and operations staff to understand existing business processes and proactively identify opportunities to automate and to improve efficiency.
- Acting as a customer proxy for the development team.
- Analysing requirements from business users and translating them into functional specifications for the development team;
- Determining acceptance criteria and creating acceptance tests;
- Evolving details of the user stories through conversations with the development team;
- Performing functional reviews of the development team’s output after each iteration, providing feedback, and helping improve the development process;
- Support business requirements and design (including mock-ups).
- Assist in the development of test plans;
- Creating and maintaining configuration documentation, operational procedures, and guidelines; identifying and documenting issues and recommending resolutions.
- Collaborating with development team members and business owners to create detailed functional and/or technical specifications.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Prior demonstrable experience in business systems analysis or relevant experience in a technology-enabled business.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodology, and corresponding concepts related to user stories and acceptance criteria;
- Technical, analytical and development skills, including the ability to provide solutions to a variety of business problems of moderate scope and complexity;
- Ability to translate business requirements to functional specifications;
- Ability to bridge the divide between systems, processes and people, and match solutions to problems;
- Experience with established business analysis strategies, including Lean change management principles, within an Agile environment; and
- Aptitude for identifying root causes and seeing beyond existing practices.
The role will suit someone who is keen to focus on business priorities and is able to work autonomously, continually driving projects.
Experience running projects in ISO 9001- and ISO 27001-certified environments would be an advantage. Knowledge of implementing software changes and effective project management methods such as Kanban and Kanban, as well as more traditional approaches, is desirable.

Remuneration: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum
