Job description – FMCG Business Analyst
In this FMCG Business Analyst role, you will be part of the all-important Pricing team and will be responsible for improving the ways in which our client’s product in purchased. Using your analytical skills, you will identify demand indicators and purchase performance.
You will be responsible for analysing market data, that will guide business decisions, whilst building strong commercial relations with internal partners. In order to excel in this role, you will need to be a confident analyst and be well versed in using Excel – you should have your V LookUps and Pivot tables down!
Key responsibilities – FMCG Business Analyst
In this FMCG Business Analyst opportunity for graduates, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the team through analysing market performance indicators – specifically looking at market trends, pricing trends and competitor analysis
- You will put your Excel skills to good use, as on a daily basis you will be managing large datasets
- Having experience with other analytical tools will also be a real plus given the nature of analysis – specifically R or SQL
- Helping to manage the daily purchase pricing operations through manual generation of prices for consumers
- Analysing marketing data to ensure optimisation of volume, quality, margin and stock turn
- Identifying new opportunities for improvement within the pricing model and approach
- Collaborating with other members of the team to maximise data usage
- Working across various online platforms and liaising directly with key partners
Job requirements – FMCG Business Analyst
- A university degree in a STEM subject, ideally with a 2.1 and above
- You MUST be confident on Excel – able to do pivot tables and V-LookUps
- Experience with analytical tools like SQL or R
- Commercial experience in Pricing Analysis would be a real plus
- Self-motivated with a strong ability to multi-task
- Highly organised with good attention to detail
- Fantastic written and verbal communication skills
- Able to prioritise tasks under time pressure
