Job description
Duties/Responsibilities
- To produce functional designs and specifications for technology solutions digital systems.
- To produce data maps between source and target systems to support system integration activities
- To communicate with supply chain partners (both existing and prospective) to address technical and functional queries, issues or requests
- Schedule, plan and lead requirements gathering and review meetings. Communicate key decisions and action items
- Analyse existing software and hardware solutions to understand and document functionality and effectiveness.
- Work with product owners, development teams and key stakeholders to convert business requirements into developer friendly specifications
- Provides reporting on operational, strategic, & business development activities to the technology solutions activities, ensuring all key stakeholders are briefed.
- Ensures Technology Solutions Roadmaps, development progress, process improvement activity is clear to stakeholders through regular engagement and feedback
- Auditing of quality standards at client sites, to review solutions engagement and effectiveness and overall feedback - to ensure that the highest standards are met and maintained
- Training and awareness of products, services, and processes through the engagement of super users by appointment
- Works with the Change and Release function and the Client Services teams, to safely deliver updates and enhancements – and will act as an approver for any changes into the live environment where it impacts a customer
- Responsible for capturing actions, recommendations and activity requirements from contact with stakeholders and supply chain ensuring that Technology Solutions management are made aware of timing, costs, risks and escalations – in a timely manner
Person Specification
- The role would benefit from a good working knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Microsoft DevOps.
- The role would benefit from a foundation knowledge of Prince 2 project management standards for successful delivery of projects
- Presentation and speaking skills essential, and the ability to use project management tools such as Microsoft Project or SmartSheet online project management tools
- A patient and “customer first” manner essential for this role, and being prepared to go the extra mile in order to complete the task on time, and to high standard
- Familiarity with industry technology systems to gather data and problem solve
- Supply chain partner management
- A proactive and “can do” approach is key to the successful outcome for the department and this role.
- Prioritisation and planning is a key feature of this role, and the role requires that the individual should be able to manage their time to provide successful outcomes per the department KPI’s
