We are currently recruiting to a full time, permanent, Business Support Assistant. The Business Support Assistant will work closely with professional colleagues within the Professional Business Support Team at North Bridge whom provides a wide range of support services to a variety of front line services. These include Street Scene, Street Lighting, Highways, Waste Management and Public Building Maintenance. You may also be asked to provide support for services based at the Civic Office including, Environment and Enforcement, Construction Services and Planning, Assets.
Tasks you will be required to cover will include, answering telephone calls from customers and employees, financial tasks including job costing, completion of orders, raising purchase requisitions, receipting goods and services, raising invoices, using bespoke ICT programmes to record data from various service area. You will be responsible for monitoring of mailboxes , planning of works for operatives and scanning and photocopying post. This list is not exhaustive, and you may be required to work with colleagues to carry out other tasks as and when required.
The ideal candidate will have experience of providing business support in a busy office, be well-organised and flexible and have excellent customer service skills.
This post will be part of a strong supportive team, who work hard towards developing an effective Business Support service.
