About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Business Analyst. The Business Analyst (BA) team works within the Project Management Office (PMO) which is part of the wider Information Management & Technology department. The remit of the PMO team is to provide ring-fenced, multi-disciplinary resources with the right skills to identify, fully scope & deliver transformation & wide-reaching change into the business.

Connect has always been at the forefront of transforming MSK service pathways, technology development and operational innovation, helping to deliver change and innovation that allows the business to provide even better support to patients whilst improving efficiency across the organisation.

We have a number of innovations and change initiatives currently identified including clinical, technology, efficiency and quality improvements and these roles represent a unique opportunity to lead the scoping and shaping of such initiatives.

Some examples of projects you’ll be involved in include:

  • Enabling greater digital self-service for patients, for diagnosis and advice
  • Improving the clinical pathways and reducing variation
  • Making pathways more efficient, embedding technology to improve the patient experience and outcomes
  • Implementing exciting new technology

Key skills / attributes:

Essential

  • Key business analysis skills, including stakeholder management, requirements engineering and problem solving
  • Quality focused with an eye for detail
  • Ability to deliver at pace while managing changing business priorities
  • Confident in offering challenge and new ideas
  • Using Agile tools - experience with Scrum and or Kanban
  • Relevant experience of delivering products that meet users’ needs
  • Strong experience of analysing and modelling business processes
  • Experience of specifying and shaping new digital features
  • Experience of working closely with Third Party technology providers (SaaS suppliers and contractors)
  • Ability to understand and document the needs of the internal or external customer
  • Appreciation of user experience and design and in proposing solutions
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills – self-starter
  • An innovative approach to problem solving
  • Comfortable dealing with large quantities of complex data to support decision making
  • Ability to identify value add activities
  • Experience using tools such as Microsoft Visio, Azure DevOps.

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a related role in a healthcare environment
  • Adept at using quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques
  • Experience of delivering continuous improvement activities using Lean tools
