THE ROLE


We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Analyst to join our established team at Communisis. Although predominantly working remotely, we would prefer applicants to be located near enough to travel to our sites in Leeds/Liverpool within a couple of hours.

The main responsibility of the role is liaising with business stakeholders and clients to identify and define business problems, needs and functions.


This is an exciting time to join us, we are going through some changes so there are some new projects on the horizon and the work is varied, challenging and interesting. Our company has sites across multiple countries so you will work with diverse team's.


If successful, you would be acting in the capacity of a product expert during client demonstrations and answering feature specific questions / limitations of the product.

  • Facilitate the elicitation and analysis of requirements
  • Collaborating and communicating with stakeholders and managing their expectations and needs
  • Ensure the requirements are complete, unambiguous and map them to real-time business needs of an organization
  • Work with other functions to ensure that the non-functional requirements on products are up to date
  • Responsible for process flows and business specifications documents.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Requirements Gathering – Ability to assess and define business change impacts. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. Ability to gather information from a number of different sources in different business areas and organise into a structured format to replay back to business stakeholders
  • Stakeholder Management – Guiding stakeholders in ensuring that the relevant information is extracted with ease. Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans. Be the liaison between the business units, product teams and other stakeholders.
  • Documentation – Develop detailed business requirements documentation for project and product related documentation, to support client onboarding and other project delivery activities. Support stakeholders in compilation of Business Case
  • Communication – Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artefacts as needed: Business Requirements Document, Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs.
  • Manage organisational risks - A key responsibility is to ensure any actions, risks, mitigations identified during requirements gathering is flagged with the respective project or product stakeholders to ensure it is addressed or escalated appropriately.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Previous experience and knowledge of Business Analysis methodologies - from both IT and business perspectives
  • Understanding of Agile project and product development methodologies
  • Good experience of ITIL processes.
  • Good experience of setting up and working with defined methodologies and BA tools
  • Capable of managing a disparate stakeholder group within a matrix management structure
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and reporting requirements
  • Experience in forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis combined with understanding of key performance indicators.
  • Experience of working with a 3rd party in a service delivery organisation.
