The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst / Data Professional to join our dynamic Development Operations team. As a Business Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting complex data sets, developing robust data models, and leveraging advanced SQL queries.
Our team is passionate about supporting our fast-paced organization by improving our data systems and processes. Your ability to problem-solve, your understanding of data systems and your analytical skills will enable you to provide effective analysis of business data problems.
Key Accountabilities:
- Perform in-depth analysis and interpretation of complex data sets to identify valuable insights, trends, and patterns
- Design and develop efficient and accurate data models to ensure effective data management and analysis
- Utilize advanced SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and transform data from diverse sources
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions
- Create comprehensive reports and presentations to effectively communicate data insights and facilitate informed decision-making
- Continuously monitor data quality and integrity, proactively identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary measures
Other Details:
- Job location: Calgary, Alberta
- Shift schedule: 5 x 2 - Monday to Friday, 8 hours/day

Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of diverse and well-rounded data systems experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry
- University degree or technical diploma in a related discipline
- Demonstrated expertise in database modeling, showcasing strong skills in designing efficient data structures
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and proven experience in writing and optimizing complex queries
- Extensive experience working with large and intricate data sets, demonstrating a high level of proficiency in data analysis techniques
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail
- The capability to work independently, effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities, and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling seamless interaction with stakeholders at all levels
