Business Analyst Summary

Analytics Engines is looking for a motivated, adaptable individual who is excited by the impact that Data and AI
can have within organisations. The Business Analyst role will contribute to projects by engaging with customers,
gathering requirements, analysing customer data, producing initial solution designs broken into high-level user

stories, and data visualisation/dashboard development.

Key Tasks and Duties

Working with customers to determine requirements, understand their data and existing processes, create
speci�cations and architectures, understand usage, and manage acceptance testing.
Ability to scope and write advanced PowerBI dashboards
Scoping and planning customer projects, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Designing and implementing user-friendly dashboards for visualisation of customer data.
Contributing to the delivery of data analytics solutions to customers.
Working with colleagues to design new systems, develop existing technology, or test theoretical designs.
Reviewing other colleagues work and providing structured feedback.
Writing speci�cations, test plans and technical reports and determining operational feasibility.
Leading production of technical reports, documentation and visualisations.
Contributing towards customer proposals/presentations and working with members of the Business
Development team.
Evaluating the technical and business impacts from developed solutions.
Researching and implementing analytics algorithms to solve customer problems.
Following de�ned development processes and complying with project plans and industry standards.
Writing well designed, testable, e�cient code and integrating software components into a fully functional
system.
Keeping up to date with developments in technologies and regulations.
Supporting customers through delivery, hand-over, and into support in line with agreed SLAs.
Attending meetings and events at customer sites in Europe and Internationally.
Any other duties as may be reasonably requested from time to time.

Required Experience

Experience gathering requirements via user research to de�ne solutions to customer problems.
Experience with Business Intelligence tools, speci�cally Power BI.
Experience writing technical reports and documentation.
Experience in Python, SQL, or statistical packages.
Experience in software development methodologies, speci�cally Agile/SCRUM.

Desirable Experience

Demonstrable data analytics project development or delivery experience.
Experience using Power BI Q&A feature and/or Power Apps.
Experience managing project discovery and handover to delivery teams.
Experience working in cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.
Bachelor or master’s degree at 2.1 or above (or equivalent), preferably in Computer Science, Engineering,
Physics, or Mathematics.
Experience of collaborative software development using version control preferably Git.
Experience in using modern software development practices and technologies including continuous
integration, deployment, and release; automated testing and quality assurance; iterative product
development.
Experience using container technology such as Docker or Kubernetes.
