Job description
This role offers a mix of remote and office working (main office Guildford), there will be a requirement to be in the office a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 16 days per month, by flexible arrangement.
- Scopes and initiates change programmes, projects and initiatives to deliver business benefits – defining, owning and agreeing the BA Framework to be applied.
- Works to understand existing business environment, business needs and elicit business requirements from stakeholders at all levels of seniority. Manages end-to-end clear traceability, maintenance, prioritisation, change control and approval mechanisms.
- Supports the development, systems testing, user acceptance testing and implementation of solutions by working closely with solution partners, suppliers, and business stakeholders.
- Learns from previous experience and understands how benefits have been delivered by participating in post-implementation reviews, lessons learned sessions and knowledge share/peer reviews.
Technical skills:
- Expertise in defining and leading business analysis approaches within Waterfall and Agile methodologies from business change and systems development perspectives.
- Application of recognised industry standard modelling techniques
- Experience and knowledge of systems lifecycle concepts used to plan, develop, implement, operate and maintain IT systems/services.
- Experience of working in a business analysis role on a number of high complexity projects - ideally within the Insurance / Financial Services industry however not essential.
- An understanding of full systems development lifecycle
- A robust understanding of the full Project / Systems Development life cycle, and associated methodologies.
- Good appreciation of IT systems and there use in business process and how they are implemented to meet objectives
- Experience of planning and facilitating workshops of varying size.
- Experience of influencing and managing senior stakeholders. Gravitas to communicate key messages across multiple areas of the business
- A Level education or equivalent (Essential)
- BCS Diploma in Business Analysis or equivalent (Desirable)
- Educated to degree level or holder of further professional qualifications and experience (Desirable)
