Business Administration Job Purpose:
Facilitating office organisation and communication with clients or prescriptive customers by performing administrative and customer service duties
Business Administration Job Duties:
- Providing office support including to customers, partner companies and employee support
- Sorting, scanning, indexing and photographing of incoming mail
- Forwarding of mail via a franking machine, post office or arranging couriers
- Keeping well-organised files and records of business activity
- Typing of letters and other documents
- Keeping computer databases up to date
- Interacting with clients either on the phone or in person at times
- Answering phones and connecting calls to the proper department
- Taking phone messages for multiple businesses and passing them on
- Following up on business communications, billing, overdue invoices, and ordering
- Invoicing
- Advising potential customers sales information about services we offer.
- Using spreadsheets to track expenses and company spending
- Collecting and inputting data
- Obtaining documents from customers inline with the Money Laundering Regulations or our policy.
- Learning about the company's mission and available products/services
- Educating clients about what products/services are available and how to purchase them
- Building relationships with clients
- Sending emails, logging tickets
- Preparing documents by printing, copying, or similar
- Writing and editing company correspondence
- Collecting and sorting post
- Assisting with minor technical support
- Acting as a personal assistant to management
- Scheduling appointments and events
- Ordering office stationery and other supplies
- Participating in office meetings and taking meeting minutes
- Giving feedback on office efficiency and suggesting possible improvements
- Being ready for any other administrative tasks that are required
- Be comfortable working alone at times, fellow colleagues have different roles within the company and may be required to work from other locations which in turn may leave you being alone worker at times.
Business Administration Skills

Qualifications
Essential:
GCSE English & Maths C or above including equivalents
Desirable (but not essential):
Business Administration
Customer Services
Experience & References
Applicants must have previously worked in an administration role/customers services role. We will require 2 references from previous employers.
Other Information Information
LONE WORKING
As our business has a small team of 4 spread across 3 offices, this may leave you being a lone worker on some days/weeks. Management or colleagues will be contactable during your working days if you need assistance, Please note there would be no lone working during training.
Working Days & Hours
Monday, Wednesday Friday 9 am – 3 pm However we are open to suggestions if starting earlier/later is required, please provide more details in the application questions.
This is a temporary position that will end on 12th January 2024. However we will always look to see what we can do to retain employees where possible.
Holiday Entitlement
10 Days plus bank holidays that fall on your working day. We will also close just before Christmas until the new year. These days will be paid and not come out of your holiday entitlement
Overtime
There will be a requirement to work up to 6x Tuesdays and 6x Thursdays per year.
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract

Part-time hours: 18 per week
Salary: £6.83-£10.50 per hour
