Business Administration Level 3 Apprentice – Youth Offending Team

This includes administrative tasks related to timely data entries on spreadsheets, word documents and the internal IYSS system, letters and assistance in dealing with finance requests. An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic YOT Admin Support Officer Apprentice to join the Youth Offending Team within the Children and Adults Service. This is a great chance to gain the Business Administrator Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3) whilst working for the Youth Offending Team. The Youth Justice Team works closely with young people and their families to provide an early intervention service to curtail anti-social behaviour and to prevent youth crime. It assists victims of crime and where appropriate, includes them in the youth justice process to take part in a restorative justice programme.
As part of this role you can expect to undertake the following tasks:
- First point of contact, general reception duties
- Data inputting
- Scanning and Filing
- Updating of internal systems
- Email inbox monitoring
- Maintenance of database
- Room bookings and diary entries
- Using the council finance systems
- Responding to simple queries via telephone or email
For Level 3 Apprentice’s - The Business Administrator Apprenticeship is a two year programme incorporating real work experience and learning, to gain the knowledge and development of skills and behaviours to successfully complete the programme. This apprenticeship involves approximately 18 months on the job development, followed by an end point assessment consisting of a knowledge test, a presentation on the project completed; and a discussion on the portfolio of learning and development produced during the apprenticeship. A grading of either Pass or Distinction is achievable.
Ideally you will have good communication and interpersonal skills, combined with competent IT skills, accurate data entry along with a good attention to detail. However we are happy to support you to reach those goals if you are highly motivated and have the desire to learn and succeed.
