Job description
The School of Medicine and Population Health has an exciting opportunity to work across a range of University administrative functions in the Division of Population Health. Working in the Health Economics and Decision Science (HEDS) and Public Health (PH) Sections of the Division, you will provide support to academic, research and professional services staff, and therefore work will come from a variety of sources. You will have the skills to be able to undertake various clerical and administrative duties as required.
We are looking for someone with effective communication skills, familiarity with Microsoft software, and a flexible, confident, and pro-active approach to work. A willingness to learn new skills and the ability and willingness to undertake a wide variety of clerical tasks in a busy office environment is essential.
This job is part of an 18 month apprenticeship under which you will engage in on and off-the-job learning and development activities that will lead to a Level 3 NVQ Award in Business Administration and will involve you undertaking one day of training each month at the Sheffield College, and a commitment to completing a formal training plan.
We are committed to exploring flexible working opportunities which benefit the individual and University.
We’re one of the best not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK. The University’s Total Reward Package includes a competitive salary, a generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement, as well as access to a range of learning and development courses to support your personal and professional development.
We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
