Overview of Role
To deliver, pick up and exchange trade bins within different environments ensuring excellent customer service, a high level of perception ensuring yours and others Health & safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring your own health and safety and that of others and promoting a positive health and safety culture within the workplace
- Ensure all Health and safety obligations are met, and company policies are adhered to
- Report any safety concerns, hazard observations, accidents and incidents in a timely manner to allow full investigation and prevent re-occurrence
- Complete daily pre-start vehicle inspections and submit to Transport dept
- Report all accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns
- Ensuring compliance with Duty of Care regulations by inspecting waste and completing waste transfer notes, as necessary
- The completion of relevant tickets or the use of the handheld device (As appropriate), detailing the necessary information and obtaining a customer signature
- Ensure that bins are delivered to standard and complete the sign off sheet as appropriate
- Ensure that health, safety and welfare standards are maintained in accordance with the Company’s safety policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures and Instructions
- Check Risk Assessments for new container deliveries
- Maintain the cleanliness of the driving cab
- Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service
- Identify and communicate any areas for improvement
- Actively take part in the driver debrief at the end of each shift highlighting any safety issues, vehicle defects and recommending route and customer improvements

In addition to driving, you will be required to deliver, pick up and exchange trade bins which will require a level of physical demand and the wearing of PPE
