We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual to support the Council’s Corporate Landlord function within the Facilities Management Team and this is a great opportunity to develop your career in Facilities Management. The Corporate Landlord function has responsibility to ensure the portfolio of 80+ Council occupied properties provide a safe and modern workplace environment to deliver the Council’s primary activities. The work is challenging and varied and includes undertaking health and safety compliance audits, managing expenditure and providing specialist advice to building managers across a range of properties including Grade 1 listed buildings.
A good practical knowledge and understanding of building management is essential. We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and resourceful person with the ability to work on their own initiative, prioritising and managing their own workload effectively. You will deliver a programme of work within budget and should have the ability to deal effectively and calmly with emergency situations. You should have achieved Level 3 NEBOSH General Certificate and NEBOSH Fire Safety & Risk Management Certificate qualifications and be willing to enhance your own technical knowledge; there are opportunities for further personal development. You should have proficient ICT skills, including Microsoft Office and computerised databases and there may be a requirement to work additional hours, which may include evenings and weekends, at designated sites.
