Job description
The Budget Analyst, reporting to the Sr Director, is responsible for budget planning, invoicing, and assisting with monthly accruals process for Marketing, Omni-channel, and Store Operations. He/she is also responsible for aiding in the monthly budget forecast and yearly budget planning processes for each of these functions as well. This person is highly motivated and able to learn new tasks and skills quickly.
- Manage, coordinate, prepare, process, code and get necessary approvals for invoices across each assigned organization to include marketing, omnichannel and store operations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Manage month-end closing processes and accrual submissions.
- Update budget trackers monthly tied to invoice and accrual submissions.
- Lead monthly budget alignment meetings between business owners, FP&A and Accounting teams.
- Identify and flow through shifts to budgets throughout the year.
- Analyze and provide support for month, quarter, and annual variances.
- Notify teams of budget variances monthly and what’s driving budget variances
- Manage and update forecasting processes.
- Support Sr Director, Budget during annual, quarterly, and monthly budget planning processes
- Identify savings opportunities.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis supporting business partner’s needs.
Desired Skills & Experience
- High level of proficiency with MS Excel/Office
- Accounting, Finance, or Business Degree preferred.
- Previous budgeting/invoicing/accounting experience preferred.
- Strong planning, analytical, communication, decision-making, influencing, and project management skills.
- Self-starter with energy and drive in a challenging and dynamic environment
- Excellent time management, organization skills, and high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Evidence of strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Energetic and collaborative team player.
- Ability to thrive in a flexible environment with a positive attitude.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Concur or other expense management tool preferred.
