Who we're looking for
The overall Team:
The Broker Management team is responsible for onboarding all new execution broker relationships for Schroders. The team acts as the central coordinators within the wider process, liaising with external broker parties to gather all required due diligence for our Credit and Financial Crime assessment processes, whilst also setting up all required data configuration in our internal systems & external platforms. The team is also responsible for the distribution of Schroder entities KYC/DD documentation and the management of all associated questions from our broker communities. Additionally, Broker Management monitor all existing broker relationships, conducting both periodic broker due diligence reviews and daily monitoring, using platforms and tools to ensure that no broker is experiencing adverse media, sanctions &/or fines that could affect our interaction and relationship with a broker.
The right person for this role:
This Specialist role requires an individual who can demonstrate an understanding of the financial markets and KYC/ due diligence documentation. They should demonstrate a proactive approach, be organised and work collaboratively with colleagues and external parties. We are seeking an individual The right person will be adept at both following process and procedure, as well enthusiastic about helping to evolve them.

The base
You'll be based at our HQ in the City of London offices which has an international reputation and is home to our EMEA Investment Services teams.
The team
Broker Management UK function works alongside our Broker Oversight function, which are both situated within Investment Services, ultimately reporting to the Operations COO and covers the EMIR & US regions. The team are based in London and provides support from 8:00 – 18:00 to Credit, Financial Crime, Traders, Investment and the wider Investment Services teams. The team's primary role is centred around onboarding new broker relationships and maintaining.
What you'll do
- Onboard & set up new execution brokers in Schroders's architecture / systems / platforms
- Conduct Financial Crime due diligence checks on all new broker relationships, as well monitoring existing & ongoing relationships
- Distribute Schroders due diligence & Terms of Business to our brokers
- Assist with any process improvement, ensure operating guidelines are met and controls are accurately completed
- Set up and onboard Term Deposit brokers and accounts
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- KYC / Due Diligence Documentation experience &/or understanding
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
- Aladdin experience preferred, but not essential
- Refinative World-Check preferred, but not essential
- Previous experience in Asset Management or the wider financial services industry
