Job Description: Bricklayer

Klassic Care, a leading property management company, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced bricklayer to join our team. As a bricklayer, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing various brick and masonry structures in residential and commercial properties.

Responsibilities:

Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine the layout and dimensions of brickwork.

Measure, mark, and set out the work area, ensuring accurate alignment and levelness.

Prepare mortar or other bonding materials, and mix them according to specifications.

Lay bricks, concrete blocks, or other masonry units in rows or patterns, using appropriate tools and techniques.

Cut and shape bricks or other masonry materials to fit around windows, doors, corners, and other openings.

Use various hand and power tools, such as trowels, hammers, levels, and saws, to complete bricklaying tasks.

Apply mortar between bricks or blocks, and remove excess mortar to achieve clean and seamless joints.

Repair and replace damaged or deteriorated bricks or masonry structures.

Install and repair fireplaces, chimneys, and other brick or stone features.

Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines, and use proper protective equipment while working with bricks and masonry materials.

Maintain clean and organized work areas, and ensure the proper storage and handling of materials and tools.

Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and electricians, to ensure proper coordination and integration of brickwork with other construction elements.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a bricklayer, with a strong portfolio showcasing various bricklaying projects.

Thorough knowledge of bricklaying techniques, masonry materials, and construction principles.

Familiarity with local building codes and regulations related to brickwork.

Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.

Proficient in using bricklaying tools and equipment, such as trowels, levels, saws, and mortar mixers.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately to achieve precise brickwork.

Excellent physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions.

Effective problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues related to brickwork.

Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with clients, contractors, and other team members.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to different work sites.
