Brewery Store Assistant - Griffin
Asahi UK are looking for a Brewery Store Assistant to join our Griffin Brewery in Chiswick, West London.
The role of Retail Assistant is to deliver first class customer service, ensuring all retail customers have an opportunity to engage with the brand and understand its core values. This is a permanent part-time position averaging 20 hours per week across the year.
Key Accountabilities
The Retail Assistant is responsible for the following key outputs and accountabilities:
- Interacting and serving customers in the shop in a professional and friendly manner
- Opening and closing of the shop in accordance with site policy and procedures
- Ensuring shop is clean and tidy, as necessary
- Hosting customer tastings and product sessions in the shop and at customer events
- Assisting with Tours and interacting in a professional and engaging way with tour guests
- Assisting with other tasks as may be required for the smooth operation of the business
- Putting various gift packs together and re-stocking as necessary
- Serving customers pints, tasting boards, etc.
- Adhere to and promote Health and Safety procedures on site.
Experience and Attributes Required
- A passion for Beer and quality local produce!
- A friendly, personable, confident individual who is comfortable speaking to groups of people
- Attention to detail
- Ability to problem solve and able to tackle any task
- Computer literacy and confidence using IT systems
- Numeracy and knowledge of point-of-sale systems, card handling, reconciliation of daily takings and basic stock control
- Experience of a customer facing role advantageous, ideally in a food and drink or retail setting
