The Automotive Aftermarket technical training department for Robert Bosch Ltd is located at the class-leading Bosch Training facility in Denham. The role is ideal for any individual with experience in training coordination with customer focus.
The primary role of the IAM Channel Brand Manager is to manage coordination, sales and delivery of an agreed range of face to face and online technical training courses within the framework of the training business plan for the Independent Aftermarket (IAM) brand of Bosch Technical Training. The individual will be responsible for the function of the Service Training Centre (STC) in Denham and to lead and support their team to ensure outstanding quality, commercial value and technical accuracy across all products in adherence to Bosch’s market leading standards. They will provide training expertise both within and external to the department as required and support the surrounding AA-AS/TSS2 (Training) and the wider AA/SEU departments as required.
Key Responsibilities
Within area of operation, the IAM Channel Brand Manager will:
- Sell, promote and manage all functions of Bosch IAM Training
- Manage automotive technology training courses both at Bosch Service Training Centre and regionally
- Manage the operations of the Denham STC facility
- Provide commercial input to achieve the strategic objective of growing sales of training
- Implement tactics to exploit synergies across TSS in all areas
- Manage the use of facilities, services and trainers for IAM Technical Training delivery across the UK & ROI
- Manage and continually develop IAM Technical Training team
- Oversee development, construction and maintenance of the training syllabus and the individual course content, ensuring appropriateness, attractiveness, saleability and technical accuracy throughout
- Drive the use of training solutions across multiple platforms (virtual classroom, video, gaming, face to face and others)
- Collaborate with, and support the surrounding TSS Training Managers and their teams including; Course Development, Quality, Administration, and other OEM brands
- Manage key IAM training customers
- Implement and adhere to the Bosch Quality Standards procedures and maintain IMI Accreditations and Qualifications status
- Lead the planning and creation of the training calendar
- Manage the accurate and expeditious administration of the training programme
- Contribute to technical articles, bulletins and any other necessary marketing opportunities
- Maintain strong relationships with customers both internal and external to Bosch.
- Provide information / solutions as appropriate to address enquires and queries within the accepted timescales
- Be responsible for the financial status and reporting of the IAM Brand for Technical Training and the STC Denham
- Any other relevant tasks deemed appropriate by the company
Knowledge and Skills:
The job holder will hold the following knowledge and skills
- Have experience of working in a training environment (essential)
- Have an in-depth knowledge of the operations of a training organisation and event planning (essential)
- Be IT literate in a variety of Microsoft programmes (essential)
- Have awareness of the Bosch IAM Technical Training programmes (desirable)
- Have an in-depth knowledge of Bosch information and software systems (desirable)
- Have experience in use of Learning Management Systems (desirable)
- Have experience of a variety of training specific technologies and methodologies (desirable)
- Ability to confidently take ownership of customer queries
- Ability to work collaboratively and proactively with all members of the Technical Service & Solutions (AA-AS/TSS) and the wider AA/SEU departments
- To display, at all times, a customer oriented, service provider attitude and be a positive ambassador for the company
- Confidence to engage and encourage their team to constantly improve our business processes by contributing ideas, suggestions and actions
- Be determined, energetic and flexible
- Effectively and timely work towards defined targets
- Must hold a full clean UK driving license
- Be able to participate in events outside of normal working hours

Specific Features
- Be the IMI Centre Manager for STC Denham and lead in efforts to gain and retain third party training accreditations
- The job holder will be required, from time to time, to participate in events outside of normal working hours. Such events may require travelling and staying away from home.
