The people who power us - our internal teams - have a vital role to make sure we have all the right resources, services and technology to be the best we can be. Not all of us work directly with external clients.

Brand Governance Manager

The Team

Sales and Marketing is a centralised support function and covers all aspects of professional services marketing, sales support and business development. The prime area of focus for the function is to support the development and implementation of the firm’s market strategy and in particular to ensure:

  • We innovate every day

  • We are inclusive by default

  • We deliver commercial impact with purpose

  • We tell stories that inspire

PwC has an established and growing Brand Team in the UK. The team is part of our UK marketing capability alongside campaign management, digital marketing and content and thought leadership, but the remit of the team extends beyond marketing to work across every aspect of our business with the aim of creating an exceptional brand experience for our clients, our people and our communities. The PwC brand is valued at over $25bn globally. It is one of our most valuable assets and as such we need to curate and manage how our brand manifests itself across all critical touchpoints.

The Brand Team covers core areas such as strategy, creative activation, sponsorships, experience, management and governance. This role is for the brand governance and management senior manager and will be a great opportunity for the right candidate to build their specialist skill set in this space.

We have a bold ambition for our brand. We will hold true to our brand purpose to ‘Build trust in society and solve important problems’, and our global strategy ‘The New Equation’, whilst at the same time looking to create a truly exceptional brand experience which delights, inspires and enables us as a firm to make a difference.

The Role

The Brand Governance Manager will report into the UK Brand Lead and work alongside the global brand team to manage brand compliance. We need a person who consistently acts with integrity and upholds the high brand standards and quality benchmarks that we need to hold ourselves to.

The Brand Governance Manager will be responsible for:

  • Working together with the Brand Governance Senior Manager as brand experts to help people navigate guidelines and policies

  • Making sure that we appropriately govern and support our brand across all touchpoints, and act as a brand ambassador for the firm

  • Supporting on co-branding activity with third parties, including deputising for the Brand Governance Senior Manager in contract discussions where appropriate

  • Supporting on brand compliance checks with creative agencies, third parties and alliance relationship activities

  • Supporting in training and equipping our agencies and in-house creative teams to deliver against our brand requirements on a consistent basis

  • Helping to deliver brand training, induction and education as needed across the business

  • Supporting with stakeholder management across all areas of the business

  • Working alongside the Brand Governance Senior Manager with pulling together the information for the annual brand network standards review process and ongoing requirements throughout the year to uphold those standards

  • Working closely with Sales and Marketing Risk to make sure quality and risk standards are exceeded

Role Requirements

The successful candidate for this role will need:

  • Experience working in a brand role where part of your responsibility was to uphold the consistent application of the brand across multiple touchpoints

  • A strong desire to get into the detail of brand policies and guidelines

  • Experience working within complex stakeholder networks and the ability to bring people along with you

  • A passion for all things ‘brand’ and specifically brand governance

  • Strong influencing and collaboration skills

  • A pragmatic approach with strong brand integrity

  • A proactive approach, seeking out ways to continuously improve ways of working

  • A sound business understanding as well as being commercially and risk aware

  • Experience of working in both agency and client-side would be useful but not essential

This role can be based in any of our UK offices.
