Job Description
You'll be joining us in the Brand Portfolio team in Brands and Marketing. Our remit is defining, growing and protecting the strategy and execution of our brand portfolio. We embed top class brand management and decision making across LBG, to maximise market reach and build engaged relationships with our customers.
In this Senior Manager position, you'll play an active role in leading a team of people who are responsible for a wide variety of activity across the Brand Portfolio team. The role will have a focus on the development of outstanding visual and tonal design platforms for our valuable portfolio of brands. You'll become the undisputed authority on our brands, using your passion to build distinctive identities that bring the strategy of our brands to life, build stand out in the marketplace and deliver high quality, coherent experiences for our customers.
What you'll be doing:
  • Working hand in hand with our strategy team, you’ll define how we bring our brands to life in our visual and tonal design, providing the Group with strategic advantage through the creation of highly distinctive brands that stand out in the market and appeal to our target customers.
  • Build guidelines and standard process tools that enable teams and our creative agencies to implement our identities and drive the delivery of outstanding end to end branded experiences.
  • Partner with teams across the Group to build understanding of the strategic importance of brand identity, coordinating the application of our guidelines and finding opportunities to optimise design.
  • Lead and develop a successful team of brand specialists who are hugely passionate about our work, each other and our Group’s brands.
Location & Ways of Working:
We're flexible on location and can accommodate you being based in our Bristol, Halifax or London hub locations.
Our colleagues, work in a hybrid model which involves spending at least two days per week or 40% of their time at one of our hub sites.
Essential Skills & Experience we're looking for:
  • Experience of developing and implementing visual and tonal design platforms for market leading brands within a customer centric organisation.
  • Strong understanding of all aspects of outstanding brand management, including strategy, design and protection.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, gained from impactfully leading teams in their delivery and/or personal development.
  • Experience of making and guiding effective decisions in a large, matrixed organisation like LBG.
  • Experience or working with external marketing agencies and managing agency relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including creation of professional presentation packs for senior executives.
  • Ability to solve problems where there are often high levels of ambiguity, drawing on relevant customer, brand or market insight.
