
Brand Asset Manager - Doctor Who Cardiff, Wales
Job description
The Brand Asset Manager supports the Scripted Brands team to deliver world-class operational management services of Doctor Who for on-going use and preservation of BBC Studios owned, physical assets including of props, costumes and set pieces.
You work with the required teams to ensure the effective development of the asset management strategy and it’s delivery on time and within budget.

Main Responsibilities- To work with cross functional stakeholders to contribute to and influence asset management strategy to reflect the needs of the business.
- To manage activity required to deliver asset management strategy.
- To ensure the safe and organized storage of BBC Studios owned physical assets including, props, costumes and set pieces.
- To manage the asset inventory to support the needs of stakeholders across various BBC Studios and third party departments – including coordinating delivery and actioning recovery of assets across stakeholders when required.
- To maintain the accuracy of the asset catalogue.
- To work with stakeholders across BBC Studios to identify newly created and ensure they are accurately ingested into the asset system and stored accordingly.
- To develop and adapt on an ongoing basis, effective key performance indicators to monitor the effectiveness of teams and services and drive improvements.
- To be accountable for budget monitoring and controls within own area of responsibility and to drive cost efficiency in all areas.
- To be accountable for ensuring that professional standards are met and reviewed on a regular basis.
- To act as a key holder for storage facility.
Essential
- Robust knowledge of Doctor Who Brand.
- High standard of organizational skills and a methodical thinking approach.
- Experience of manual handling techniques and packing fragile objects.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative in identifying, developing and implementing service improvements.
- Ability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively and adopt a flexible approach to a wide range of duties.
- Ability to work alongside colleagues to ensure the successful delivery of key strategic projects.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships.
- Knowledge of asset management and approaches.
- Experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Driving License.
- Role may require some flexible working, out of office hours with short notice to meet needs of production deadlines.
Desirable
- Current Forklift license.
- Experience in driving small to medium size vans and operating tail lifts.
- Warehouse / storage experience.
- Experience of working in television production (not essential but desirable!)
- Knowledge of Sustainability practices in TV & Film Production.
- Knowledge of BBC Archives services.
