Branch Manager
Jersey
As a Barclays Branch Manager, you will lead a highly engaged team of Branch based colleagues, focusing on commercial growth, client experience and risk management (with enhanced oversight of all Key Performance Indicators - KPIs). You will use local knowledge, networking, presence in the community, data and insight effectively to deliver financial support to clients in the local market.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. - Contributing to the area’s insights and data-based business plan to support customers with their financial needs and deliver long term sustainable revenue growth
- Coaching and developing the branch team and using initiative to apply situational leadership to address underperformance promptly and appropriately
- Setting and communicating team’s objectives, monitoring client feedback and performance data, and ensuring the team follows good governance controls
- Building and maintaining team’s capability to deliver excellent client outcomes through identifying, understanding and meeting client needs both internally and externally
- Taking accountability for recruitment and succession planning to ensure the branch colleagues can support clients at all times
- Providing solid direction to the branch team so they can manage complaints effectively and appropriately whilst supporting directly with clients where necessary
- Proactively educating colleagues and clients through the flexibility of digital service to ensure they have confidence in using their channels of choice
- Acting as the face of Barclays in local community to build and maintain solid relationships with key local stakeholders
- Proven experience of successfully leading a team in a customer-facing capacity, delivering great client and commercial performance by empowering and motivating others
- Experience in being accountable for recruitment and performance management processes and decisions
- Ability to coach colleagues to improve their performance and achieve performance and personal objectives
- Knowledge of the full Local Markets proposition covering Local Business Banking, Premier Banking, Mortgages and Investment
- Networking skills and ability to build rapport quickly
- Proven ability of managing extensive complaints and queries
- Experience of executing against a business plan that delivers good client outcomes through the identification of appropriate commercial opportunities
