KT Healthcare is a national neuro rehabilitation therapy company that provides comprehensive assessment, rehabilitation and therapy for adults and children with brain injury. We have a team of Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Neuropsychologists who the Rehabilitation Assistant will work with. We offer supervision and training to all new rehabilaition assistants.

About the role

Part Time - £15 per hour – Flexible hours dependent on the needs of the patient and the availability of the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Assistant.

KT Healthcare provides exciting opportunities for a part-time Brain Injury Rehabilitation Assistant to join our caring and supportive team delivering individualised rehabilitation programmes to our client. Previous experience of working in a neuro Rehabilitation setting or currently undergoing training to be a healthcare professional is essential.

KT Healthcare provides comprehensive assessment, rehabilitation and therapy for adults and children with brain injury. We have a team of Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Neuropsychologists who the Rehabilitation Assistant will work with. The patient will be treated in their own home.

As Rehabilitation Assistant you will be expected to:

  • Work and act as a key member of the team, supporting the patient in achievement of their planned rehabilitation goals.
  • Have excellent organisation skills, attending shifts as directed, be involved in planning activities of interest to the patient.
  • Build relationships with the patient and his family, excellent communication and problems solving skills.
  • Support the patient to undertake their rehabilitation programme, ie trips out, appointments, shopping, making meals, put his arm splint on, check on his fatigue levels, encourage independance,
  • Take direction from members of the MDT, ask for help when needed.
  • Communicate any issues to the clinical team.
  • Accurately report and/or record work activities on a weekly basis.

Salary: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
