SCUFF is a self-harm charity that has 3 main aims:
1. To support people who are struggling with self-harm
2. To educate and support people who are caring for others who self-harm
3. To fund tattoos for people left with scars from self-harm
We are looking for volunteers to run our self-harm drop in clinics at our office in Bradford. These drop ins will run from 3pm-5pm, on a Sunday.
Our clinics provide information and support for people struggling with self-harm or for those who are supporting people who self-harm. Your role will involve talking to people, explaining and offering worksheets to people, preparing and handing out wound care packs and signposting to local services. We will provide full training for this role, but would like people who have lived experience of self-harm. SCUFF will cover all travel costs if required.

- Comfortable initiating conversation with people

- Dependable
- Personal experience of mental illness
- Able to offer regular commitment and work on a timetable
Desirable:
- Personal experience of self-harm
- A vehicle
- Experience working or living with people who self-harm
Training:
- Training for this role will take place at our Bradford office for one day in August, date to be confirmed.
