Bradford Breastfeeding Support Worker

Do you have a passion for supporting new mothers and their families?
Are you committed to enabling mothers to breastfeed as long as they wish to?
Do you have an ability to speak and understand community languages and have an understanding of cultural differences amongst minority groups?
If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to support mothers to achieve their own choices and goals, through structured intervention delivered over minimum three sessions within their own homes or a place in which mothers feel comfortable. The role will focus on engaging with new mothers, fathers and wider family offering them practical support to overcome any challenges the mother may face to breastfeeding.
Hours: 16 hours per week – Monday to Friday
(Requirement for flexibility for weekend work).
Contract Type: Fixed term contract until the end of March 2025.
Salary: £23,000 full time equivalent /£10,508.16 Actual per annum
