Botanical Horticulturist
This role is part of the Glasshouses, Nurseries and Display Horticulture which cultivates a wide range of hardy and tender plants requiring an equally diverse range of climatic conditions. This post will be involved with the implementation and maintenance of external bedding displays including the Parterre, Roundabouts, Display House surrounds, Admin Courtyard, Carriage Circle, and other ‘bedding’ areas as required. The post holder will also be involved with the installation of interior displays e.g. the Orchid Festival. All these displays are important components of Kew’s public offer and it is critical that they are of a high horticultural standard as they can have a major impact on visitor satisfaction and public opinion of Kew.

The successful candidate will have good working knowledge of horticulture, implementing and maintaining high-end displays. A horticultural qualification equivalent to NVQ level 2 or above, or equivalent experience, is also essential.
The post holder may be required to work in other teams or Sections at Kew, depending on the needs of the organisation.

The salary will be £24,252 per annum.
