SOMERSET COUNTY FEDERATION OF WOMEN'S INSTITUTES
Responsibilities:
- Processing payments invoices and receipts and entering data into accounting software or databases then filing hard copies.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements.
- Complete quarterly VAT payment in line with charity rules.
- Verify the accuracy of business accounts and alerting the County Treasurer and the accountant of any errors in writing
- Recording any inconsistencies to help the accountant reconcile inaccuracies.
- Work with the company accountant with administrative duties and preparing the annual accounts.
- Work with the County Treasurer to provide monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss, balance sheet and trial balance to the Board at their monthly meeting.
- Checking vendor invoices and pass to the County Treasurer for payment.
Requirements:
- Proven bookkeeping experience, preferably in the fields of accounting or finance.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Experience with spreadsheets and accounting software applications.

Part-time hours: 6 per week
Salary: £12.00-£14.00 per hour
