WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
- Conduct regular ledger and balance sheet reconciliation
- Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash
- Manage trust ledger for real estate department. Continually assess and improve processes
- Collaborate with financial consultants and auditors
- Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports appropriate for users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Financial reconciliation (General Ledger, Trust Ledger, prepaid accounts, credit cards) for Law Firm and properties portfolio
- Collect and organize receipts; Input expenses and revenue into various systems
- Keeping important information and documents organized physically, and electronically
- Record and file Real Estate portfolio transactions
- Maintaining a high degree of discretion and confidentiality
- Assist with HST filing and financial statement preparation for year end tax remittance
WHO YOU ARE:
- CPA (could be foreign trained without a CPA accreditation in Canada)

- Quick learner and passionate candidate who is willing to work in a fast-paced environment where every day could feel like month end (real estate transactions close daily)
- Experience working with excel; experience with Accounting software or PC Law is an asset
- Organized resilient team player that can manage multiple priorities
- Quick learner with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong time management, communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
