Calling all Accounts assistants / Bookkeepers with 3+ years of experience.
LIVINGWAY is a growing institutional landlord who entered the Build to Rent arena in 2019. We have 7 current operational sites with another 1 due to open in late 2023 which will all deliver high-quality residential homes and amenity space for residents.
We have ambitious plans, and we intend to double our portfolio on a yearly basis.
THE ROLE
For this role, you must be enthusiastic, quick to learn, and will help support our team with keeping the finances up to date and day-to-day bookkeeping!
You will already have a solid accountancy/bookkeeping background but want to spread your wings & move to a company that will help to grow you to the next stage of your career.

Key Responsibilities
- Maximise rent collection / minimise risk to the business
- Ensure rent collection adheres to company policies and procedures
- Alert management of potential collection problems
- Chase outstanding rent via telephone and email
- Produce daily and weekly outstanding rent reports, any issues, and a resolution time scale
- Liaise with GMs to ensure all tenant queries are resolved in a timely manner
- Assist in the preparation of monthly invoice runs/posting of direct debit payments when required.
- Create and issue section 8 and section 21(6a) notices in line with the housing act
- Instruct third-party legal providers and assist with the possession of properties
- Oversee and manage the recovery of aged debt
- Keep on top of team expenses and day-to-day transactions
- Take full responsibility for the allocation of rents and rent matching daily
- Assist to manage all relevant budgets, monitoring expenditure and costs, and advising the GMs and CEOs of any deviations
- Daily bank reconciliations
Desirable
- Experience in a similar role within lettings
Essential
- Previous experience in debt collecting from individuals
- Great planning, organization, customer service, rapport building & problem-solving skills
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines; recognize potential risks; work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to listen to resident feedback & action reasonable requests.
- Experience and knowledge of assured short hold tenancy agreements
- Understanding of the housing act and section 8 and section 21(6a) process
- Strong Microsoft 365 skills
