We are looking for a Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our team and help with our day-to-day financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of financial statements, maintaining accurate records of financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. You are a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional with a passion for accounting and bookkeeping. You work well under pressure, have a keen eye for detail, and enjoy solving problems and improving processes. You’re a team player who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and prepare financial reports.
- Update accounts payable and receivable.
- Evaluate processes and financial data and recommend improvements.
- Prepare and review budget, revenue, invoices, and other accounting documents.
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts.
- Perform month/year-end close procedures.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries.
- Assist with audits, financial reviews, and tax returns.
- Assist with payroll processing and reviewing employee expenses.
About You:
- Degree in accounting, finance, or relevant certification.
- Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Hands on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Able to meet strict deadlines and prioritize workload.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
