The Image Scotland Group is a diverse set of businesses based in Musselburgh, East Lothian. We looking to recruit an enthusiastic and outgoing individual to work as a Bookkeeper.

We are looking for an additional experienced Bookkeeper to help with all aspects of the day-to-day transactions of the Company. This role is ideally suited to someone that has a broad range of experience with all activities related to Company bookkeeping and can work with minimal supervision.

Core Responsibilities:

• Posting transactions to sales and purchase ledgers.
• Creation of reports.
• Bank, credit card and supplier statement reconciliation.
• Processing staff expenses.
• Ensuring accounts are ready for review by the accountant at year-end.
• Credit control.
• Liaison with third party providers, clients and suppliers.
• General accounting administrative duties.

Essential Candidate requirements

• 5 years' experience in a similar role or with a suitable AAT or equivalent qualification.
• Good numerical and data analysis skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload.
• Accuracy and attention to detail is critical.
• Self-motivated, methodical and able to work independently.
• Proven IT Skills, particularly Excel.

Advantageous Knowledge

• Experience of Xero Accounts would be an advantage.

The position is based in our office and production centre at Broughton Park, Newhailes Industrial Estate, Newhailes Road, Musselburgh. Easily reached by car (we have on-site parking) by Lothian Buses numbers 26, 30, 44 and 48; East Coast Buses numbers 106 and 124, or train. Musselburgh and Newcraighall stations are nearby.

Some information relating to the role is detailed below:

• This is a full time permanent position.
• 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday around the core hours of 9am to 5pm.
• Office based.
• 28 days paid annual leave (24 ‘free’ days and 4 days of customary holidays over the festive period).

• An appropriate salary package will be offered to the successful candidate based on proven skills and experience.
