Job description
We are currently seeking a highly professional part-time bookkeeper with expertise in QuickBooks Online to join our team. As our bookkeeper, you will be responsible for handling various financial tasks, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and assisting with tax-related matters. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and have excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Open, organize, and take appropriate action based on the content of letters received
- Setup our company's QuickBooks Online and process monthly payrolls
- Make payments to vendors and ensure timely processing of bills
- Process WSIB and interim taxes, such as HST and payroll tax, using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare and review documents at the end of the year to send to the accountant for tax filing purposes
- Additional bookkeeping tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, with proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Fluent in English (reading and writing)
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Previous experience with payroll processing and vendor payments is preferred
- Familiarity with tax obligations and year-end tax preparation is a plus
Schedule:
- Part-time position, 2 days a week
- 5-8 hours per day (may vary depending on workload)
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 10-16 per week
Salary: $20.00-$31.63 per hour

Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- QuickBooks: 1 year (preferred)
- Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
