Bookkeeper with Xero experience

Full-time / Part-time / Job Share considered - Hybrid

This is a great opportunity to join Blue Bear Storage, a growing family business opening new self-storage sites across the UK. This hybrid role will see you work from home, with 1 day on site between Milton Keynes & Northampton, either on a full-time, part-time or job share basis.

So, if you have experience as a bookkeeper or similar, working towards, or with, any finance qualifications, now looking to work for a highly successful business, where you will be working in a dynamic, fun environment alongside a friendly team which are passionate about a strong collaborative culture and value professionalism and growth. This is a fantastic opportunity which allows you to be in a in a highly autonomous role, where no two days are the same.

What you'll be doing:

You will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records and processes that underpin our operations. Reporting to the Managing Director, your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks, including processing invoices, reconciling transactions, generating sales invoices, interacting with suppliers, handling administrative tasks, running payroll, contributing to financial reporting, and ensuring the overall efficiency of our accounting department.

Key deliverables:

Financial reporting
Process financial transactions

Bank Reconciliation
Sales Invoicing and Credit Control
Payment runs
Supplier queries
VAT returns

Monthly payroll for 6 people
Manage company expenses

What you need to be part of this new team:

Detailed work and accuracy is your thing
You'll have proven experience of using accounting software, such as Xero

Previous book-keeping experience
ACCA, ATT, AAT or working towards
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Ability to build relationships with the team and suppliers
Plan and organise your schedule
