Bookkeeper/Finance Assistant

£27,000-£30,000
Artemis Human Capital are delighted to be working in partnership with a trusted client of ours in the search for a Bookkeeper to join the business on a full time, permanent basis. This is a brilliant family run company that have been operating for 15 years within the manufacturing sector.
This is a newly created role and is embedded within a genuinely lovely team. Having placed previously with this business, I can assure you that you will be joining a supportive and collaborative team who aim to maintain an excellent company culture.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will involve:
· Bank reconciliations.
· VAT returns.
· Journal entries, reconciliations and taking accounts to trial balance.
· Maintenance of sales and purchase ledger.
· Processing prepayments and accruals.
· Balance sheet reconciliations.
Experience:
· At least 2 years’ experience working within a finance department.
· Experience using Sage would be desirable.
· Capable of adhering to reporting deadlines.
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Confident communicator who can liaise with colleagues.
