Accountant / Bookkeeper – Part Time

Armada Mortgage is an Independent Mortgage Lender, Investment Firm, and Mortgage Brokerage. We underwrite, arrange, and lend on mortgages, as well as distribute & manage the sales of securities and other investment products to our shareholders through our investment company Armada Wealth Management.
This position would be good a good fit for somebody who holds an accounting or bookkeeping degree/diploma. Training is clear and communicative, with a well-guided learning process. Tasks:
This role includes a variety of tasks making the position interesting and challenging. Below are some of the tasks you can expect. This is an in-office position.
You will be doing bank reconciliations, financial statements and quarterly reporting, as well as preparation for annual audits. We will also teach you more industry specific tasks such as administrating mortgage postings, processing mortgage payouts, preparing and posting the investments monthly dividend payments and accruals, as well as a variety of other accounting and administrative tasks related to the position.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education degree or diploma or experience in the mortgage industry. Proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks desktop, and other bookkeeping or report creation skills are important. Other abilities that will help you excel in this position are attention to detail, accuracy, multitasking and prioritizing.
