Book Keeper / Accountant
Purpose:
As the Book Keeper/Accountant, the main purpose of the job is to oversee the financial operations of our company ensuring that they are running smoothly. This includes managing budgets, preparing financial statements, analysing financial data, and providing financial guidance to the board of directors. The Booker Keeper /
Accountant is responsible for ensuring that our company complies with financial regulations and that all financial reporting is accurate and timely. Additionally, the role may involve managing a team of finance professionals and working closely with other departments to ensure that financial information is integrated into decision-making processes throughout the organisation. Overall, the Book Keeper / Accountant is a key player in ensuring the financial health and success of our company.

Technical Skills:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with post-qualification experience.
- Computer Literate: Mac OS & Microsoft Office Stack

Responsibilities:

- Maintaining the accounting records for the Group.
- The production of month end management accounts, forecasting and cashflow management including reporting the analysis to directors.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset schedule.
- Prepare Year End and assist with year-end accounts and queries with Accountant.
- Produce monthly KPI reports.
- Sales Ledger, invoicing, issuing statements and chasing aged debt.
- Daily processing of bank transactions and reconciliations.
- Allocate and process supplier invoices for payment.
- Set up Go Cardless DD mandates.
- Complete Customer/Supplier Registration Forms and update documentation to Shopify
- Evaluate all Account Credit application forms and discuss with Directors.
- Prepare and send staff timesheets to Payroll.
- Upload monthly pension contributions to pension provider portal.
- Prepare monthly Vat Returns reconciling to the nominal ledger and submit to HMRC.
- Managing & posting Pleo card and staff expenses.
- Raising purchase orders when required.
- Assisting with the development of systems and controls, identifying opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies.
- Offering advice and support, building a good rapport with other team members and external bodies.
