Our dedicated team are seeking to recruit an organised and methodical individual to join our busy Endoscopy Booking service.
You will be greeting patients before their procedure with a friendly manner to put them at ease.
You will be required to ensure that all patient notes are prepared the day before the procedure and admit and discharge patients in a timely manner.
You will also be booking patients for their procedures on the telephone so a good telephone manner is essential. You will need to be aware of the timescales for our 2WW and Urgent patients as well as our Routine patients to make sure they are booked within breach date.
You should have a confident manner and be able to communicate well with other members of the team as well as with patients and other departments.

Main duties of the role include:
- Operating the Endoscopy booking process involving administration of outpatient waiting lists and scheduling of new outpatient appointments.
- Ensuring optimum use of respective outpatient clinics and compliance with relevant policy and procedure.
- Operate the Endoscopy HICSS booking system, ensuring capacity is utilised effectively and efficiently.
- Register and process outpatient referral letters through the various means of receipt into the hospital.
We provide a comprehensive range of specialist, acute, obstetrics and community-based healthcare services to around 331,000 people across west and north Norfolk, in addition to parts of Breckland, Cambridgeshire and South Lincolnshire.
We have more than 4,000 staff and volunteers, approximately 530 beds, and a helipad for air ambulances. We work with neighbouring hospitals for the provision of tertiary services, including as part of regional partnership and network models of care, such as the trauma network.
In February 2022 the significant progress that has been made at QEH was recognised by the Care Quality Commission who rated the Trust as ‘Good’ in all of the core services they inspected. They recommended the Trust moves out of the recovery support system (formerly special measures).
