Job description
We are looking for well-motivated, enthusiastic HCPC registered BMS to join our team.
For newly qualified BMS there is support for completion of the specialist portfolio. The successful candidate will be expected to work as required at any of the 3 laboratory sites. Following suitable training you will be expected to participate in the 24/7 working pattern and rotate through the various sections of the department.
However the department will consider trainee BMS for this post as follows.
- Unregistered individuals with an IBMS accredited BMS degree will be employed as a Trainee band 5 BMS using Annex 21 (formally Annex U - at 75%)
The department actively encourages participation in CPD to develop skills that will assist you in the pursuit of your career ambitions and further education may be supported where relevant.
To provide, in a professional manner, quality analysis of biochemistry tests for patients of the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, Cardiff and Vale Local Health Boards, and for tertiary referral samples from other UK laboratories sent for specialist investigations.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
