Innovative cellular and molecular therapies are startingtotransform the way we treat cancer and other life-threatening conditions. Through our network ofstate-of-the-artfacilities, we are at the forefront of developing and manufacturing these new therapies for early phase clinical trials. The delivery of these new therapies into the NHS builds on our extensive expertise supporting more established stem cell transplantation therapies for malignant and inherited haematological disorders. Working within a dedicated team you will support thedevelopmentand manufactureoflife-saving cell and gene therapies. To start with, we will provide you with an extensive induction and training programme. Youll provide vital support to qualified scientific staff as they undertake specialised work in ourMHRAand HTAregulatedlaboratories. Specifically, that means preparing samples for testing or storage,performing stock management,carrying out basic maintenance on equipmentand working regularly in a clean room environment. Were looking for a BTEC/HNC in a Science or other relevant subject, or the NHSBT foundation degree or equivalent. Youll also, ideally, have a working knowledge of basic IT packages and some experience of working unsupervised in a laboratory environment.Flexible in your approach and a good team player, you must be able to keep clear, accurate records.
