Job description
Mediplacements are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 7 Blood Transfusion Biomedical Scientist to join our client's team in London.
The pay for this position is £45k per annum, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate must be HCPC registered and have proven experience in haematology and blood transfusion.

- Perform laboratory tests on blood samples to diagnose and monitor medical conditions related to blood disorders and transfusions.
- Verify compatibility between donors and recipients, detect and prevent transfusion reactions, and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure the safe and effective use of blood products in medical settings.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and adhere to strict quality control and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care and support.
