About the role

You will be working with a team of fellow biomedical data scientists, data engineers and data curators as well as with a product development team to build computational pipelines for the development of new models and improvement of existing ones in Insilico Medicine’s clinical trial outcome prediction platform – inClinico.

Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain computational pipelines including AI/ML-based for improvement of predictive models which are part of inClinico – Insilico Medicine’s proprietary platform for clinical trial outcome prediction. Build analytical reports on those pipelines.

General Requirements:

I. Education

Master’s degree or PhD degree in Computational/Systems Biology, Bioinformatics or other relevant fields.

II. Experience and Skills


  • 3+ years of experience in biomedical informatics/data science
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong Python experience, specifically in building computational pipelines in biomedical fields
  • Experience with SQL
  • Knowledge an understanding of statistics; experience with ML and AI is a plus
  • The ability to produce quality computational tools and analytical content autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical thinking and scientific vigilance, ability to find inconsistencies in pipelines, data, code and act on it to fix them
  • Strong understanding of molecular biology, background in signalling pathways is preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of drug discovery and clinical development processes is a plus
